Description:
Four Embroidered Silk Purses, Austria and France, 19th century, comprising a multicolored silk embroidered purse with gilt silver tapestry and gilt silver galloon trim, a blue silk taffeta purse with silk cross-stitch floral decoration and pink cord trim, a white silk embroidered purse with silk floral embroidery, and an ivory moire silk purse with multicolored floral embroidery and metallic gold braided trim.
Provenance: Formerly property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

All with minor wear and soilign to cloth and rope boarders. Interiors lined and in good condition. Overall in excellent condition consistent with age and use.
