Description:
Embroidered Silk Purse, France, 1900-1925, cream-colored silk with multicolored silk and metallic embroidery of chinoiserie figures and architectural elements on gold-tone frame with inset blue and white rhinestones.
Provenance: Formerly property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

Minor losses and wear to embroidered surface. Silk separating slightly wear bag attaches to gold-tone frame. Rhinestone decoration remains in tact. Minor wear to interior lining consistent with age and use. Overall found in excellent condition.
