Signed, inscribed, and dated "Henry Bacon. Philae/Dec 1902" l.l., a Bidelow &
Jordan framer's label affixed to the reverse.
Watercolor on paper, sight size 15 x 20 3/4 in. (38.1 x 52.7 cm), framed.
Condition: Toning, staining, rippling, not examined out of frame

N.B. The temple complex on the island of Philae dates to approximately 380-145 B.C. The construction of the Aswan Dam in the 20th century threatened the stability of the structures, so the temple complex was dismantled and rebuilt on the island of Agilka by UNESCO in the 1960s.
