The painting has a heavy coat of glossy varnish. The retouch that fluoresces is very minimal, including a repair to the panel at l.r. corner in area measuring 1 inch across the diagonal. There are also two thin vertical lines of retouch to define the edges of the facades of the brick building. Surface imperfections presenting as a series of burst bubbles in the varnish layer at the lower center, measuring 5 inches across and about 1/2 inch high, but there does not appear to be any paint loss at this area, only losses to the outer layer of varnish. Varnish inconsistencies to sky. Surface grime that may be below the outer layer of varnish.
