"The Merchant's Daughter" with a label from Schramm Galleries, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on the backing cardboard. The frame of "Merchant's Daughter" was opened for examination. The watercolor was found to be adhered to window mat along all four sides. It was not clear if the watercolor had been mounted on a second board, and the firm adhesion of the work to the window mat made it impossible to open further without destroying the mat. "The Shepherd's Daughters" was not examined out of the frame, because it appears to be framed in an identical manner.
