Seventeen Assorted Ambrotype and Tintype Portraits in Union Cases, two double ninth-plate cases each containing an ambrotype portrait of a young woman; two carte-de-visite cases with tintype portraits of a girl wearing a fur stole and a muff, and a little boy standing beside a table; three sixth-plate ambrotype portraits of a young couple, a young woman, and a little girl identified on a note inscribed "Anna M. Simpson/Feb. 9th 1856-April 27th 1930/daughter of Alonzo & Susan M Simpson/b. at West Cambridge, Mass..."; eight ninth-plate size: four ambrotypes of a bearded man, two young women, and a boy, and four tintypes of two young women, a little girl, and a baby; two sixteenth plate portraits; an ambrotype of a young man, and a tintype of a military officer; respectively mounted in the following Union cases: "Jardiniere of Roses," "Spray of Flowers;" "Scroll/Geometric," and unlisted; "Geometric/Scroll," "Scroll/Geometric," and variant of "Scroll"; "Scroll" variant, "Scroll/Floral", one side with applied cameo, unlisted, and "Scroll, Gilded Center," unlisted, "The Birdbath," and "Peaches and Plums"; "Scroll," (Krainik 561, 562; 572, unlisted; 222, 355, 216; 544, 545 variant, unlisted, 546, unlisted, 400, 404, 520; 652), and one sixteenth plate pressed-paper/leather case, (imperfections).
One case, a "Scroll" variant with no gilded center has a 3/4 x 1/4 in edge loss.
