Description:

Quarter-plate Daguerreotype Portrait of Two Sisters, possibly taken by Loyal Moss (Moses) Ives, Boston, in a black "Vase of Flowers" (Krainik 50) Union case, the brass mat impressed "," (edge tarnish, minor corrosion, spiders, and dust).
Estimate $200-250

There is a faint squiggling line that appears to be on the back of the glass which casts a shadow on the image, and the back of the glass also appears to have smeary wipes on it, but don't appear to be on the image. The case has two small cracks on the edges and two corners have chips.
