Two Open-mouth Bisque Head Character Babies, a Kestner doll with "Made in Germany 151/2" impressed to back of neck, molded painted head, sleeping green glass eyes, two inset teeth, fully jointed composition body, in pink-edged white wool coat and bonnet with turquoise romper underneath and pale blue slippers, lg. 11; and a larger doll with "151/6" impressed to back of neck, molded painted head, sleeping brown glass eyes, four inset teeth, fully jointed composition body, in yellow striped cotton romper with taupe slippers, lg. 15 in.

Kestner: no apparent damage, surface soil to bisque. Larger baby: small shrinkage line to top of right ear, no apparent hairlines to bisque. Both heads bisque clear. Both with wear to bodies, larger with repaired and repainted fingers on left hand.
