Three Quarter-plate Size Union Cases, an oversize black case depicting "Two Lovers Going to the Well" (Krainik 33), manufactured at A.P. Critchlow & Co., Florence, Massachusetts, 1853-57, one side of the interior molded with five small compartments fitting two ninth-plate and three sixteenth-plate size photographs, with the original manufacturer's label; and two brown cases: "Lyre in Arched Portal" and "The Capture of Major Andre" (Krainik 45, 18, 52), (imperfections).
Two Lovers Going to the Well- lacking interior velvet pad, small loss to clasp and edges.
Lyre in Arched Portal- hinges broken with associated loss and edge loss.
The Capture of Major Andre- Krainik rates this case "scarce". It is in good condition with a minor small chip on the spine edge and, a couple small darkish brown spouts.
