Ivory Okimono of a Female Musician, Japan, 19th century, resting on one bent knee, dressed in a formal kimono decorated with incised floral motifs, her hair in a traditional style decorated with a comb and hairpieces, the signature cartouche lost, ht. 3 3/4 in.
