Ivory Carving of a Warrior General, China, 19th/20th century, dressed in armor with a sword in his right hand and his right leg raised as if preparing for a final blow, standing on a wood pedestal with carved lotus motifs, his hat decorated with a bat and auspicious mushroom motifs, details incised and colored in black including his beard, sideburns, and eyes, ht. 10 1/4 in.
