Description:
Archaic Bronze Wine Vessel, Jue, China, possibly Late Shang Dynasty, raised on three slender, triangular-sectioned feet, the cylindrical body decorated with leiwen bands and flanges, with a loop handle on one side beneath the spade-shape rim and a long semi-circular spout flanked by two knobbed finials, ht. 8 1/4 in.
Provenance: Purchased in 1949 from K. Watanabe & Co., with original receipt.
