George III Copper Kettle on Stand, with a wood handle and finial, with leaf-form attaching handle to body, raised on a stand with included burner, chain, and snuffer, terminating in three splayed leaf-form feet, ht. to the top of the raised handle 13 7/8 in.
Note: A letter from 1946 stating that this came from Leeds Castle, the home of Lord Cornwallis, signed Elizabeth Cornwallis-Clutterbuck, accompanies the lot.
