Pair of Faberge Gilded Silver and Enamel Napkin Rings, Moscow, 1908-17, Feodor Ruckert, workmaster, 88 zolotnik standard, each with entire exterior covered with shaped pan-Slavic engraved ornament, one with Ruckert mark overstruck with Faberge mark to interior, each with standard marks, and small unidentified Cyrillic marks to rims, wd. 1 3/8 in., with original Faberge fitted box with oval plaque engraved with a crown above the monogram "CGM."
Provenance: Purchased from Atzbach & Thomas, Inc., Redmond, Washington.
One with zolotnik standard mark to exterior, causing a void in the enamel ground and missing an approx.. 1/4 in. section of wire above mark. The same ring also with an approx.. 1/4 in. area of loss and inpainting to enamel. The other ring in good condition. Box with shrinkage crack to top front right corner, age typical nicks and scuffs, and light staining/discoloration to silk and velvet interior.
