Scrimshaw-decorated Whale's Tooth, the tooth with 20th century engraved decoration depicting a whaling scene with whalemen in a whaleboat, one harpooning a sperm whale, with inscriptions describing a spurious event, lg. 6 1/2 in.
The inscriptions on this tooth speaks of an event which took place May 29, 1854, but the vessel "Twilight" which is mentioned in the other inscription was not launched until July of 1854.
