Gerald Leslie Brockhurst (British, 1890-1978)
Two Portraits: La Tresse, 1926; and The Black Cloak (Mrs. Paul Mellon), 1943. Both signed "...Brockhurst..." in pencil l.r. and signed within the plate, the former identified on a label from Harlow, McDonald & Co., New York, affixed to the backing. Etchings on paper, plate sizes to 9 7/8 x 8 in. (25.0 x 20.3 cm),framed.
Condition: Not examined out of frames.
Both have visible margins of 3/8 inches or more. La Tresse has subtle staining to the image in the lower right quadrant. Cloak is gently and evenly toned. Although they have not been removed from their frames, there are no other visible condition issues to report.
