Wedgwood Black Basalt Bust of Addison, England, early 19th century, mounted atop a waisted circular socle, impressed title and mark, ht. 14 1/2 in.

Back footrim of bust tapered and a wedge has been added to level it to the top surface of the socle. It also appears that the bust has been adhered to the socle. The underside of the socle shows a modern rod and heavy epoxy. There is no evidence of any cracks or restorations.
