"An expressive, elegant and pure nose of spice, white flower and green fruit aromas are followed by dense, big, rich and explosive full-bodied flavors that are blessed with abundant dry extract and a finish that won't quit. Not withstanding all of the size and weight, this is impeccably balanced and overall, this continues to display that "wow" factor. Note that like many '02s at this point, the '02 Bâtard could certainly be drunk with pleasure but for my taste, I would suggest a few more years in the cellar first. Consistent notes."
