Audubon, John James (1785-1851) Yellow Throat Warbler. [from] Birds of America. London: R. Havell, 1826-1838.
Hand-aquatinted copper-plate engraving, loose, in a protective sleeve, No. 17, Plate 85; two joined sheets: 37 1/2 x 25 1/4 in. overall, one minor puncture in the sheet, four inches outside the plate mark.
The lone male warbler squints up at the chestnut-like fruit of the chinkapin oak.
