Gorham Coin Silver Teapot, Providence, Rhode Island, c. 1860, squat teapot with hinged and lobed lid topped by Chinaman finial, chased handle in the form of branch sprouting from lower body and connected to neck by leaves, spout also a branch with flowering vines, body decorated allover with shallow, floral repousse work with two engraved cartouches: one with monogram "MLW," the other "Feb. 10th, 1892," ht. 8 1/2 in., approx. 27.9 troy oz.

Series of shallow dents to one cartouche and some surface abrasions to foot, no other visible evidence of damage or repair.
