Two Assembled English Silver Tureens, London, 1786, maker's mark "IB," circular form with lid, handles molded as abutting acanthus leaves extending from lion heads and paws, all on a ovoid flowerhead platform framed by gadrooned register with heraldic shield to both sides; tureen dish with gadrooned rim interspersed by shell motifs, total ht. 7 1/2, dia. 11 in., total 122.2 troy oz.

Some slight surface wear consistent with usage. Several very small indentations to underside of one dish. Lids with rough solder marks to interior around the lowest register, also with some pitting to interiors.
