Eduardo Chillida (Spanish, 1924-2002)

Harvard III, 1977, total edition of 61, published by Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts (Van der Koelen, 77013). Signed "Chillida" and with cipher in pencil l.l., numbered "26/50" in pencil l.r. Woodcut on paper, image size 5 3/4 x 7 1/8 in. (14.5 x 18.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Subtle toning, not examined out of frame.

Provenance: A private Massachusetts collection.
Estimate $1,000-1,500

Out of the frame the sheet is a heavy wove paper with a "...hand made" watermark and deckled edges, and measures 14 7/8 x 12 5/8 in. The work is not matted or hinged. The sheet is toned and has pale fox marks - both are more prevalent to the verso.
