Tabletop Still Life with Fruit
Signed and dated "R.S. Dunning 91" l.l., signed and dated "Robert.S.Dunning.pinxit./
1891." on the reverse.
Oil on canvas, 13 1/8 x 17 1/8 in. (33.4 x 43.5 cm), framed.
Condition: Old retouch in l.r. quadrant, varnish inconsistencies.

Provenance: From the artist to Israel Brayton of Fall River, Massachusetts, then by descent within the family.

N.B. According to Brayton family history, Israel Brayton served as Robert Spear Dunning's attorney.

Old retouch beneath the varnish layer along top frame liner, minor abrasions u.r. along frame liner, subtle varnish inconsistencies to l.r. quadrant , naturally occurring fluorescence to red pigment in cherries, no additional condition issues to report.
