Description:

Victor Vasarely (Hungarian/French, 1906-1997)

Two Images from the PERMUTATIONS Series, 1968, edition of 150, published by Denise René, editeur, Paris. Both signed "Vasarely-" in pencil l.r., numbered "13/150" in pencil l.l., with publisher's dry stamp l.l., and identified on a label from the Kanegis Gallery, Boston, affixed to the backing. Color screenprints on paper, image size 23 5/8 x 23 5/8 in. (59.8 x 59.8 cm), framed.
Condition: Subtle water staining to lower margins, abrasion/surface loss to left margin and just into image of one, not examined out of frames.
Estimate $600-800

The abrasion is primarily to the left margin of centralized composition. It just effects the image as 3 linear rubs. The same work has most of the water staining to its margins. Neither has been removed from its frame.
