Eau-forte No. 1, 1952, edition of 100, printed and published by Lacourière, Paris (Rivière, 1). Signed "Soulages" in pencil l.r., numbered "38/100" in pencil l.l. Color aquatint on paper, plate size 19 1/2 x 13 1/8 in. (49.4 x 33.3 cm),framed.
Condition: Mat burn, not examined out of frame.

Out of the frame, the sheet has an "Arches" watermark and deckled edges. It measures 26 1/8 x 19 3/4 in. There is an "ATELIER LACOUIERE PARIS" dry stamp l.l. Mat burn and foxing to margins. Toning to margins and verso. Brown paper tape "hinges" to the upper edge.
