The End of the Game
Signed and dated "Léon Moran '94" l.r., identified on a presentation plaque and on a
label affixed to the reverse.
Oil on canvas, 9 1/8 x 13 1/8 in. (23.2 x 33.3 cm), framed in a shadow box.
Condition: Not examined out of shadow box.

Provenance: Acquired from the Charles Hotel, Springfield, Massachusetts, c. 1960.
Estimate $1,000-1,500

With a label from James D. Gill's Art Store, Springfield, Mass. affixed to the frame, and inscribed "Springfield" on the stretcher.

Although the work was not removed from the shadow box, there was no evidence of retouch under UV light, nor was any craquelure visible.

The shadow box measures 21 1/2 x 25 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches; under glass.
