Ephemera, including a dedicated and signed copy of the book George Frederick Castleden, Etcher-Painter: A Brief Biography, by the artist's wife, Louise Decatur (nee Zingre) Castleden, a personal note from the author, and an etching, Spanish Cabildo Lamp, N.O., signed and titled by the artist, accompanies the lot.

English-born George F. Castleden lived in New Orleans between 1911 and 1936. He was a member of the New Orleans Art League, and advocated for historic preservation of the French Quarter. He is best known for his picturesque views of the Vieux Carré.
