Description:

Della Robbia Pottery Molded Wall Plaque, England, 1900, designed by Ellen Mary Rope (1855-1934), the arched panel depicting children playing music and dancing about a tree, with a central figure in a hammock, reverse with painted marks "E. M. Rope Scupt et...," HR monogram (probably for Harold Rathbone [1858-1929], the firm's artistic director), and dated, lacking factory mark, framed, plaque ht. 24, wd. 30 1/4 in.
Estimate $1,500-2,500

Crazing, hairline crack extending inward from upper right corner. Approx. 3/4 in. glaze flake to bottom edge of plaque. Not examined out of frame.
