Signed "-W.L. PALMER-" l.r., identified on a presentation plaque, inscribed "Under
the Pines" and stamped "AAA 1917" on the reverse.
Mixed media (oil, gouache, colored pencil, and graphite on millboard),30 x 22 in. (76.2 x 55.8 cm),framed.
Condition: Not examined out of frame.

Provenance: From the artist to Otto Bernet, New York City; through the collection of Collier Whittemore Baird (1888-1977),New Jersey and New York; present owner by family descent.

Under glass, very minor toning, sight size 29 1/2 x 21 3/4 in. (74.9 x 55.2 cm); staining on the reverse is to a backing board, not to the work itself; inscribed "Under the Pines" to the reverse of millboard; no additional condition issues to report.
