Inscribed "The 'Bully' A. E. Albright 1895 - Chicago/Twins in painting are his two sons."

Broad areas of retouch along left side, left half of upper edge, and all along the lower edge, although signature area remains untouched. Upper right quadrant with two lines of retouch forming a upside down L shape, 6 inches across and 11 inches down, and with a patch of retouch measuring 2 x 1 inch located 4 1/2 in. down from top and 4 1/2 in. in from the right. Scattered multiple dots and dashes of retouch to the figures, most especially to the shirt and shorts of the boy to the far left.
