Eagle Wharf, 1859 (Kennedy, 41). Signed and dated within the plate, identified on a label from Frederick Keppel & Co., New York, on the backing. Etching on paper, plate size 5 3/8 x 8 1/2 in. (13.5 x 21.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Subtle toning, gently light-struck, minute stain to image u.r., not examined out of frame.
Estimate $1,000-1,500

Out of its frame the work is glued in between the facing and backing mat. There is no evidence of rippling to the sheet so it may be laid down completely. The visible sheet measures 6 1/8 x 9 1/8 inches. There is a pale fox mark u.c., and a pale stain u.r.
