John Crome the Elder (British, 1768-1821)
Nine Unframed Landscape Etchings: Deepham, near Hingham, Footbridge at Cringleford, Wickerswell, Road by Park..., Sketch of a Tree Trunk, Study of Trees, Colney, Study of Three Trees, Trees on a bank by the roadside. Deepham signed and dated "J. Crome 1813" in the plate u.l., Colney signed "Crome 18..." faintly in the plate l.r., others unsigned. All titled and inscribed in pencil in the margins and/or on the mats, three inscribed "...From the edition published by the artist's widow in 1834" in pencil on the mats. Plate sizes to 8 7/8 x 6 7/8 in. Condition: Mild toning foxing, soiling, and wear to edges of sheets, all hinged and matted.
