American Guitar, C.F. Martin & Company, c. 1890, Style 2-27, stamped CF MARTIN & CO, NEW YORK at the upper block and on the center strip, length of back 18 5/16 in., width of lower bout 12 in., with later case.

Missing top ivory binding and purfling, lower bout of bass side. Neck is a later replacement from 1929, bound in ivoroid. Martin factory repair note penciled inside dated 9/29/1929. Inside ribs lined with cloth, Martin factory repair. Original bridge pins and endpin included in separate container. Body finish original, neck finish is a mix of lacquer and shellac.
