Memorial Picture, New England, early 19th century, watercolor on velvet, a grieving man and woman with a child standing at the base of a monument in the midst of a fenced burial ground; to their right is a stone church, and to their left is a large tree, all painted in tones of black, brown, and green, (minor toning and discoloration),24 3/4 x 24 1/2 in., in a later gilt wood frame.
