Four Prints from The First Steeple Chase on Record.

Signed "Drawn by H. Alken" l.l. and "Engraved by J. Harris" l.r. in the plates,
published by Ben. Brooks, London, March 1, 1839. Hand-colored etchings with aquatint, plate sizes 14 1/4 x 16 5/8 in., framed.
Condition: Toning, soiling, foxing, not examined out of frames.

N.B. The four scenes depicted are: Ipswich, The Watering-place behind the Barracks (Plate I),The large field near Biles's Corner. (Plate II),The last field near Nacton Heath. (Plate III), and Nacton Church, and Village. (Plate IV).
