Condition: Lined, scattered retouch, craquelure.
Provenance: Possibly A. De Gany, Paris, prior to 1929, to Collection of Arthur Ruck, London; acquired from the John Levy Gallery, New York, by Mrs. B. F. Jones, Sewickley Heights, PA; Parke-Bernet Galleries, Dec. 4 and 5, 1941, The Eminent Collection of Paintings formed by the late Mrs. B.F. Jones, Jr., Cat. 73; through to the Estate of Anne P. Owsley.

Old craquelure with consolidated craquelure and small paint losses in u.l. quadrant and along the bottom edge. A note written on the backing states that the painting was wax-resin lined in January 1979. Scattered dots of retouch throughout, predominately to u.r. and l.r. quadrants with several to the sitter's face.
