Misty Morning, Susquehanna River. Signed indistinctly, possibly "J.B. Morse," l.r., titled in pencil on the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 8 x 12 in., framed. Condition: Small paint loss l.c., surface grime.

N.B. The signature resembles that of Jonathan Bradley Morse (American, 1834-1898),who lived in Utica, New York, in the region of the headwaters of the Susquehanna River.
