Description:

Four Small Silver and Silver-mounted Articles, comprising two Swedish cups, Borgila, maker, one mounted to center with a 1949 1 K coin, dia. 2 1/2, the other a shot glass engraved with a monkey and a fox toasting each other verso, entwined monogram MC recto, ht. 1 7/8, an ovoid colorless glass sterling overlay inkwell, unmarked, ht. 2 1/8, and an unmarked presentation coaster dated 1968, approx. 7 troy oz. weighable silver.

Provenance: Estate of Margret Craver, notable silversmith and important figure in the American Studio Jewelry Movement. Craver was a vocal advocate for the craft of modern silversmithing. The two Swedish items were likely acquired during one of her study trips to that country.
