Figure 4 from the BLACK AND WHITE NUMERALS, 1968, edition of 70 plus proofs, published by Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles (Field, 98). Signed and dated "J.Johns '68" in pencil l.r., numbered "47/70" in pencil l.l., copyright and Gemini dry stamps l.r., label from The Harcus Gallery, Boston, on the backing. Lithograph in black and umber on paper, image size 27 1/4 x 21 1/2 in. (69.0 x 54.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Margins over 4 inches with deckled edges, creases and nicks to right margin, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $4,000-6,000

The work is "floating" in its frame. The sheet measures 37 x 30 inches. The very edges have minute creases, and their is subtle soiling to each of the corners. The right margin has a crease in it, well away from the image, about 1 1/2 inches long. Although it has not been removed from its frame, there are no additional visible issues to report.
