There is an oval area about 3/4 inch long of pale staining along the lower edge within the walls of the ruins. The previously mentioned "flaws" are a scratch to the tops of the cliffs, and asmall dot near the left edge also at the cliff tops. Both of these elements are visible in other printings of this image. On the back of the mount, in addition to the artist's label and the stamp mentioned earlier, there is also an inscription "1986-17/22/LG9/1310" l.l. corner and "26" u.r. corner, with a notation of the mat size along upper right edge. Mild soiling to reverse of mount, with press mark in u.r. corner that is visible also from the front. Subtle toning to the mount overall.
