George III Mahogany Tallcase Clock, late 18th century, the hood with swan's neck cresting, stop-fluted columns, and sound dampening fretwork, the face painted with faces of the moon aperture, signed Thomas Coleman, Leith, the movement with day/date, strike/silent, playing three tunes on nest of twelve bells, the case with long door inset with a small oval glass panel mounted with an openwork brass scene of Father Time, with engaged, brass-capped pilasters, on paneled and tiered plinth, ht. 94 1/4, wd. 21 in.
