Jade Fang Ding with Cover, China, Qianlong carved mark and of the period (1736-1795), the rectangular ceremonial vessel raised on four legs surmounted by taotie masks, each side of the body and the domed cover finely carved in relief with stylized taotie, flanked by dragon scroll handles suspending jump rings, the cover surmounted by a recumbent foo dog finial, the jade of semi-translucent pale green color with russet and white markings, carved wood stand, ht. 5 5/8, lg. 4 3/8, wd. 3 1/4 in.
