Longquan Celadon Vase, China, Ming dynasty (1368-1644),of archaic drinking vessel hu shape, the body boldly carved with stylized taotie masks, below a band of horned creatures in pursuit of a pearl around the waisted shoulder, further below a band of intertwining chilong around the faceted neck, flanked by two ear-shaped lug handles with fixed rings, covered by a sea-green glaze, ht. 5 1/8 in.
