Butler, Esq., U.S. District Attorney, concerning a possible pardon or order of nolle prosequi against Babe alias Brown, with holograph address leaf, (in three parts due to fold separation, edge chipping, light browning at folds); the second dated August 14, 1846, one page, to Ely Moore, Esq., Marshal of the U.S. for the Southern District of New York, concerning a pardon of counterfeiting charge against Francis Cordis, with holograph address leaf, (creases, slight fold separations, edge chipping and edge browning).
