Hunt/ 165 S. Elliot Place/ Brooklyn/ N.Y./ Between 1850-1865" on the reverse, watercolor on paper, sheet sizes to 12 1/2 x 20 in.; Charles Baker (American, 1844-1906),Crashing Waves, signed and dated "Chas. BAKER 1897" l.r., watercolor on paper, sheet size 7 3/4 x 13 1/2 in.; all unframed.
Condition: Most mounted to mat, Grenada with break, toning, losses.
Provenance: From the artist to a relative of the first wife of Dr. William H. Roe (1871-1936),Patchogue, Long Island; by descent to his second wife, Alice G. (Robinson) Roe (1894-1970, married to Dr. Roe in 1935); by family descent.
