Description:

Five Chinese Silver Articles, a reticulated cigar case, Cumshing, Canton, early 19th century, pierced all over with writhing dragons, lg. 5 1/8; the rest late 19th/early 20th century: a cigarette/cigar case, unmarked, rectangular with rounded corners, stamped with dragon to front, monogrammed to reverse, lg. 5 1/4; a butterfly-form inkstand, marked CW, set with a single square-section lidded inkpot, with pair of addorsed dolphin-form pen supports, on ball feet, ht. 5 1/4, wd. 8 1/4; a silver mounted inkstand with wood base, Wang Hing & Co., Hong Kong, with dragon-reticulated edge, single square-section repousse inkpot, and bamboo pen supports, ht. 4, wd. 8 3/4; and a silver mounted hardwood presentation plaque, Lain Chang, shield-shaped, dated 1933, full lg. 9 1/8; sold together with a sabre-form paper knife, marked Wen Hua Shun, lg. 7 3/4 in., (6 items total),approx. 19 troy oz. weighable silver.

Wang Hing inkstand: loss and wear to finish of wood to top surface.
plaque lacking one of the easel-support legs to rear, and a wood block replacing one nut; engraved in Chinese and English, the english reading: "Shanghai Volunteers 1933"
paper knife with wear to tip and some light bending to blade.
