Carl Kauba (American, 1865-1922) Bronze Figure of a U.S. Soldier, the standing ranger or scout modeled with rifle in one hand, peering pensively off to his right, on mottled golden marble base, mold incised signature to back of one leg, bronze ht. 9 1/2, ht. with marble 12 1/4 in.

slight bend to barrel of rifle. minor patina wear. some chipping to the edge of marble base, but unobtrusive, as the edge is rough hewn in design.
