Pair of Paris Porcelain Topographically Decorated Urns, mid 19th century, campagna urn form, short handles ending in satyr masks, enamel decorated to front with rectangular panels, one depicting a stately home, the other a view of a cottage, with gilt rims and bases, ht. 12 1/2 in.
both with unglazed rims, minor rubbing to gilding of satyr masks, and signficant wear to gilding at feet.
stately home: professionally restored at join of body to foot, with round metal plate to interior, and oversprayed gilding. one handle with a firing line to center, and the other with restored chip to nose of satyr mask.
village scene: C-shaped hairline just below rim, to upper left edge of village scene. base of body and handles fully oversprayed in gilt.
