Dixville Notch, New Hampshire. Signed "F.H. Shapleigh" l.r. Oil on canvas, 26 x 37 in., in a later molded giltwood frame. Condition: Relined, retouch to tears at center and l.l., retouch to sky upper edge.

The tears are obvious, the one at center is angled and about 5 in. long; the tear at lower left is about 8 in. long and spidered in form.
