Large Masonic "MASTER'S CARPET" Lithograph Scrolled Chart, published by John Sherer, Cincinnati, 1855, lithograph on paper applied to canvas, mounted on wooden rollers, the emblematic chart was used as teaching aid for the instruction of Freemasonry; it was frequently taken off of the wall and rolled out on the floor of the Lodge room, so the word "carpet" instead of chart was commonly used, approx. 71 x 71 in.
